Dear Lynne and Kelli, I never thought about the regular dog life jacket style I had until I listened your interview on Petability Podcast. I am so glad you thought of it, it makes so much more sense. It actually works the way a flotation device should, holding the head above the water like a human life jacket does in an emergency situation! It was a no brainer and I bought one right away to use this summer on boat rides and swims. I am so impressed with the Watercollar and the quality is amazing!! Best part is, my dog does not mind wearing it at all, just another collar in his mind and he is one who gets over the top scared of the dreadful cone collar!!
